Orlov Region wants to maintain Danone’s dairy facility

BRYANSK, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Dairy production may be maintained at a closed Danone facility in the central Russian region of Orlov though the company has not coordinated its plans with the local government, the region’s government said on its Web portal late on Thursday.

“We believe Danone should have stopped operations after choosing an interested investor. The region’s government hopes that a representative of Danone, authorized to discuss sales conditions, will arrive soon,” the statement read.
